Scope and Contents
This is a painting on canvas 4'H x 5'W in size. it was created by a professional muralist with help from 100 student leaders and clients from Mountain Shadows, a care center in San Marcos for adults with disabilities. Several dozen signatures are on the back of the canvas. The painting depicts Karen Haynes, and the names of institutions and people, including CSUSM, Tukwut, SM Jackson and Joanne Tawfilis of Muramid Museum, Art Miles Mural Project, and Mountain Shadows Outreach Center.

Conditions Governing Access
The Karen S. Haynes papers is open for research.
The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
