Pala/Pauma Tribal Library Internships, 2002-2004
Scope and Contents
Folder contains email correspondences relating to the Pala/Pauma tribal libraries internship, where Biggs was involved in collaborating with the Pala and Pauam Public Libraries and MLIS programs in order to place MLIS students in the internship program. Students corresponding with Biggs are Girija Karamacheti, Sandy Puccio, Brooke Black, Annie Robertson, Carmel Nibergall, Catherine Nary.
Folder also contains documents about Pala Library’s automation needs, including notes from the Library’s 2003 meeting, and an article that was distributed to interns about the automation project.
Folder also includes email correspondence and other materials related to a cataloging LSTA grant project; correspondence between Doretta J. Musick, Biggs, and librarians applying for the Cataloging Constultant Position at the Pala Public Library; an email from Doretta to Biggs regarding a call that they received from Representative Steve Cima, congratulating them on an a IMLIS award that they received (unclear whether this was related to the LSTA grant); and “Pala Public Library: Report on Bibliographic Control," which was given to all interns who worked on cataloging projects.
Folder also includes some miscellaneous documents, such as photographs, including two of a women who may be named "Allyson;" directions to the Pala Public Library; and email correspondence from Steve R. Espinoza and Jeremy Zagarella to Biggs regarding Pala and Pauma Library activities.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
