Scope and Contents

Folder includes materials related to events and resources available in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Folder includes materials related to the The University of Oklahoma Summer in Santa Fe, Aug 2-6, 1999 course: “Information in Society, Native People of New Mexico.” Materials include a letter sent to Biggs from the university, providing her with information about the event. Folder also includes other event-related materials, such as maps, an event schedule, and handouts regarding Santa Fe hospitality information. Also included: various pamplets and handouts created by public history institutions that provide information about their research centers, created by the following institutions/collections: Center for Southwest Research, General Library, University of New Mexico; Chaco Culture, National Historical Park Museum Collection; Selected Collections on American Indians, UMM Center for Southwest Research; Anthropology Research, Zimmerman Reference Department, University of New Mexico; Native American Studies, Zimmerman Reference Department, University of New Mexico; Navajo Nation: History & Government, Center for Southwest Research, University of New Mexico General Library. Lastly, folder includes handout on Indigenous symbols, and a government of New Mexico phone directory resource page.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
