Scope and Contents
The folder contains letters from members of Congress to the Subcommittee on Military Construction’s Chairman, Ron Packard, requesting approval and funding for military projects related to the Army, Navy, and Air Force in their districts under the 1998 Military Construction Appropriations Bill. A few congressmen attached full construction project data to their requests (Armory in Centerville, Tennessee; Quality Evaluation Lab in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Base Engineering Complex for the Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma; Troop Training Complex for the Volk Airfield, Wisconsin; Phase II of the Harrison Villa Neighborhood Replacement for Fort Lee, Virginia. Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
