Folder contains statements, talking points, authorizations, and news releases from 1995 and one news release from 1992. The topics focus on Ron Packard's stance on the Temecula Checkpoint accidents, the closing of the INS checkpoints, and immigration policy; the Commerce, Justice, State, and Judiciary Funding Bill; Packard’s acceptance and authorization to lead a Congressional delegation to Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, and Belgium; the FY96 VA, HUD, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act; William M. Thomas’ statement to the Joint Committe on Printing; Packards disapproval of a FAA AIDS training; the Transportation Appropriations Bill [H.R. 2002]; and the Energy and Water Funding Bill.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
