Scope and Contents
Folder contains information on the upcoming water bill for the 2000 fiscal year. At focus is the opposition to a proposed amendment to the Energy and Water Appropriations Bill called the Visclosky-Oberstar-Borski Amendments. The actual details of the amendment are included, as well voices that both offer support and criticism to and suppport of the proposed amendments. The argument falls on whether or not the wetlands should be seen as a place in need of protecting, or if less restrictions on using the wetlands were needed. Also included is the evidence of increased frusturation with the DOE, with cuts being inidcated entering the 2000 fiscal year. (prep for fiscal year 2000)

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm.
