Scope and Contents
Folder contains information regarding the improvements made to the transportation infrastructure in Congressman Packard's district. Improvements include the information on the establishment of a rail line from Oceanside; improvements to the transportation corridor in Orange County; international border trade and travel with Mexico; the Intermodel Surface Transporation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) taskforc;, and issues on interstate freight. Included are letters written to and from Congressman Packard regarding the issues, summaries of the key problems posed, and presentations by the ISTEA Taskforce.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
