Folder contains Representative Ron Packard’s floor statements given during the 103rd Congress sessions, talking points from interviews, news articles, and briefings from the House Republican Conference. The topics addressed include the copies of his schedule for district visits to San Diego and Riverside; procedures for addressing the House during non-legislative periods; discussions opposing the Clinton/Brooks Crime Bill, the Racial Justice Act, and the ban on assault rifle; measures on improving schools; disaster relief and the Military Construction bill; the Kasich alternative budget; the Hunter amendment focusing on immigration policy; and energy, water, and transportation appropriation bill.

This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
