"Mrs. John Edmondson Jr. displays the trophy recently received by the Junior Woman's Club in recognition of the many hours they contributed in the neighbor to neighbor cancer drive. Mrs. Edmondson is cancer chairman for the local Junior Woman's Club. The trophy will be on display for one month at Escondido National Bank." "Marlissa Crocker, Miss Vista, took the first dive into Vista's new $85,000 swimming pool at Monday dedication ceremonies attended by many local dignitaries at Washington Junior High School, including Mayor Orbee Mihalek (left), and G. C. Eikermann, Vista Unified School District superintendent. The pool was a joint venture of the city and the schools and was open to the public at noon today. It is the city's second swimming pool."
