Scope and Contents "Artist Alta Smith Happ of Escondido explains details of her painting depicting events in the historical Felicita Pageant, to Melville Howell, president of the pageant corporation. Mrs. Happ has donated the painting, estimated to be worth about $600, to the corporation. Presently it is on display at pageant headquarters at the Stoner Realty, 131 S. While several local dealers of major brand gasoline were selling ethyl for more than 60 cents a gallon last week, others, including Jim's Arco at Ninth Avenue off Interstate 15 (Highway 395), were selling regular for as low as 51 cents a gallon."
