"High and dry above a new lake formed by the recent rains, these farmhouses stand lonely but secure under a threatening sky. The scene, off San Pasqual Road near the San Diego Wild Animal Park, is a study in reflections, illustrating the contrast between the stark dryness of the recent prolonged winter drought and the sudden wetness that ended it."
